Throughout its history, Errington Lake Lodge has been managed by just a few owner-operators. The cabin was originally constructed in the 1950s as a private retreat. In the early 1960s, mineral exploration drilling occurred approximately two miles east of the Lodge, near Naegle Creek; however, no significant findings were made. Additionally, in the mid-1970s, a depth survey of the lake was conducted as part of a research initiative focused on lake trout.
The original owner sold the property in 1990 to Barry Prall of Nipawin, who started outfitting on the lake. Barry then sold the camp in the late 90's to a group of folks from Nipawin and Arborfield. Around 2005, they enhanced the place by adding a water heater and a shower room with much appreciated hot running water.
Then, in about 2010, it found its way to Rob Gilmour, an entrepreneur from Kindersley. Rob made some great upgrades, including building a storage shed, improving the boat ramp, framing a second cabin, installing a new firepit, and bringing in a 16-foot boat with a 4-stroke, electric start motor.
